Hyderabad, July 19: The TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu appears to have realized that his two-eye theory on Telangana did not work out and has even boomeranged. The result of his two-eye theory led to a total rout of his party in Telangana. At the same time it has not done any good in Seemandhra either. The recent by-elections proved that his evasive attitude on Telangana has not built up any goodwill for the party in the coastal region or Rayalaseema.

It is now being said that Naidu has come to a conclusion that he should henceforth shun the evasive attitude and take clear stands on all issues including Telangana. He is said to have decided to give a firm letter to the central government supporting the Telangana cause and asking the government to take a decision soon.

Telangana leaders have been mounting pressure on Naidu to announce a clear pro-T stand at the earliest to save the party from disaster at least in this region.

However, some Seemandhra leaders are still opposed to a pro-T stand by the party supremo.

Another embarrassing issue the party is faced with is the SC categorization. TDP has supported categorization when it was in power. Soon after losing power Naidu has realized that through the categorization issue, he lost the support of the Mala community, who form majority of the SCs in the Seemandhra region. Malas have become strong supporters of the YSR Congress. In this context, some SC leaders have been telling Naidu to take a firm decision on the categorization, shunning vacillation. Naidu is placed in a tricky situation as support to categorization would mean losing the Malas and opposing it would mean losing the support of Madigas.

However by taking a firm stand on both the Telangana and catagorization issues, Naidu is believed to have decided to save at least a section of his vote bank, instead of losing both.
